Last 1st Day of Elementary School!

I CANNOT believe my child, who I just walked down the kindergarten hallway last week, crying (that would be ME crying, not him), is now a 6th grader! How exactly is that possible? I wish someone would tell me, because this rapid aging syndrome is starting to annoy!

Yesterday he couldn't say "L's" "Th's" and "R's". Today he says "Mom you are weird" (perfectly pronounced, I might add).

Yesterday I buying Child's Size "Small" clothing. Today I'm buying Men's Size "Small" clothing.

Yesterday his shoes were so little and cute. Today they are bigger than mine!

Yesterday I had to get down on my knees to look him in the eye. Today he's offically 2 inches shorter than I am (which he is quite proud of and I find annoying!).

Yesterday he smelled like a baby. Today he needs deo!

Yesterday he ate like a bird. Today he eats like a horse.

Yesterday his clothes were cute. Today his clothes are cool.

Yesterday he couldn't tie his shoes. Oh, wait that really WAS yesterday. I hate untied laces!

Yesterday he was my best lil bud. Today he is too. I hope that lasts!

Things I wonder:

WHY....


Why does my net company tell me I can log to their website for assistance when I've just pushed the "net connection problems" option on my phone?

Why there are coupons in the cat litter bag. I mean we all know where this is about to be poured into. Anyone fancy 50 cents off at the price of sticking your hand in there? Not I.

Why can I never find short sleeved shirts in the stores in mid summer and I can't find long sleeved shirts in the store in mid winter?

Why the things you've lost are always in the last place you'd ever think to look?

Why the older you get the louder you have to turn up the programs on TV, but complain that people listen to music too loud?

Why commercials on TV are 2x as loud as the aforementioned programs?

Why summer flies and winter crawls?

Why the phone never rings all day, but once you finally get a call about 13 people beep in on your call waiting?

Why the sun makes our hair light and our skin dark?

Why your kids have nothing to say to you until you get a phone call?

Midnight Release party tonight!
